TGRT Haber – Business World Program | Interview with Reis Makina General Manager Başar Demircan

Başar Demircan appeared as a guest on the Business World program on TGRT Haber, where he evaluated the role of the hardware sector in the Turkish economy, the company’s production investments, and its export targets.

Demircan stated that the hardware sector covers not only everyday consumer products but also industrial, agricultural, construction, and hobby markets, making it a trillion-dollar global industry. He emphasized that Türkiye currently holds a $25 billion share of this market and that the sector still has significant growth potential.

Reminding viewers of Reis Makina’s 105-year heritage, Demircan noted that the company’s commercial journey, which began in Karaköy, continues today with production facilities in Konya and Istanbul, and that a new production center will soon be established in Yalova. He added that the company is focusing on reducing imports, increasing exports, and contributing to the current account balance, particularly by strengthening production in generator and metal processing equipment.
