In an interview with the economy section of Karar.com, Başar Demircan, General Manager of Reis Makina, evaluated the impact of the contraction in the CNC market on the manufacturing industry.

Emphasizing that the USD 1.5 billion volume of the machine tools market could remain in Türkiye through domestic production, Demircan stated that the decline in demand in the CNC market directly affects industrial production. Despite the market contraction, he noted that investments are continuing, saying,“We have not lost our confidence in the CNC market.”Stating that Türkiye’s machine tools market has an approximate size of USD 1.5 billion and is largely dominated by imported products, Demircan underlined the importance of domestic production.

Recalling that CNC machine tools are used not only in general manufacturing but also in the production of many critical components for defense technologies, Başar Demircan addressed the risks of foreign dependency. He explained that the vision to mitigate these risks includes the domestic production of CNC machines in Türkiye under the Revo brand within the umbrella of Topçu Holding, as well as offering high-technology solutions tailored to industrial needs under the Ozco brand. This approach represents not merely a commercial objective but also a reflection of a strong sense of responsibility toward the national industry.
