In an interview with economim.com, our General Manager Başar Demircan evaluated Türkiye’s rising global position in the generator industry. Demircan stated that the company has reinforced its confidence in the future of the sector with a new investment move worth USD 60 million.

Emphasizing that Türkiye’s geographical proximity to high-demand regions such as Ukraine, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and the Turkic Republics creates a significant logistical advantage, Demircan underlined that generators are a critical necessity, especially in regions experiencing energy infrastructure challenges.

Stating that the African market accounts for nearly one-third of global generator demand, Demircan said, “By 2030, the African generator market is projected to reach USD 10 billion. This will shape the future of the sector. Türkiye is also geographically close to this market and must take advantage of this opportunity.”

Stating that collective action within the industry would enhance the reputation of Turkish products abroad, Başar Demircan highlighted the strategic importance of collaborations under the umbrella of the Generator Manufacturers and Power Systems Association (JENDER). He also added that Türkiye’s generator exports, which reached USD 600 million last year, could rise to much higher levels through planned investments.
